THE STORY BEHIND SOBER DADDY

THIS ISN'T JUST
A SOBRIETY BRAND.

It's a recovery brand built from lived experience, hard lessons and the belief that putting the drink or drugs down is only the beginning.

01
WHY I BUILT THIS

I DIDN'T BUILD SOBER DADDY
BECAUSE RECOVERY LOOKED COOL.

I built it because addiction nearly cost me everything.

There was a point in my life where drugs and alcohol weren't something I did for fun anymore. They became how I coped, how I escaped and eventually how I got through the day.

I spent time homeless. I hid my drinking. I made excuses. I tried to convince myself I still had things under control long after I knew I didn't.

Eventually, I ended up in rehab.

And getting sober taught me something I didn't fully understand before:

PUTTING THE DRINK OR DRUGS DOWN
IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

Recovery meant learning how to live without the thing I had used to deal with my thoughts, emotions, stress, boredom, anger, shame and everything else life throws at you.

That part doesn't happen overnight.

The story behind Sober Daddy
02 WHY SOBER DADDY EXISTS

RECOVERY WITHOUT
THE BULLSHIT.

I wanted to talk about recovery the way I actually experienced it.

Not polished. Not perfect. And definitely not pretending every day sober feels amazing.

Some days recovery feels powerful.

Some days it feels uncomfortable as hell.

Both can be true.

Sober Daddy exists to create honest conversations about addiction and recovery while building practical tools, resources and content that might actually help somebody when they need it.

NO JUDGMENT.
NO PERFECT RECOVERY STORY.
JUST KEEP DOING THE WORK.
MY FAVOURITE RECOVERY MOTTO
“

RECOVER LOUDLY
SO OTHERS DON'T
DIE IN SILENCE.

That's my favourite recovery motto because recovery doesn't have to be something we hide.

Talking openly about addiction might make somebody feel less alone. A shirt can start a conversation. A Reel can reach somebody at the exact moment they need to hear it. A person sharing their recovery might give somebody else enough hope to start theirs.

Silence protects addiction. Conversation can open a door.

03
MORE THAN SOBRIETY

STOPPING WAS ONE PART.
LEARNING HOW TO LIVE WAS ANOTHER.

For me, recovery became about learning things I should have learned a long time ago.

01 Sit with uncomfortable emotions.
02 Recognize triggers before autopilot takes over.
03 Stop running from everything.
04 Appreciate small wins.
05 Build routines and healthier ways to cope.
06 Become someone I actually wanted to be.

That philosophy is a huge part of the Sober Daddy Recovery Hub.

It isn't therapy. It isn't medical treatment. It's peer-based recovery support informed by lived experience, designed to give people somewhere constructive to go when recovery gets difficult.

04 WHY THE CLOTHING?

BECAUSE RECOVERY
SHOULDN'T HAVE TO HIDE.

Sober Daddy clothing was never meant to just be another logo slapped on a shirt.

I want the pieces to mean something.

A shirt can start a conversation. A hoodie can make somebody feel like they belong to something.

And somebody walking past you might see a recovery message they needed more than you'll ever know.

STILL DOING THE WORK

I'M NOT WRITING THIS
FROM SOME FINISH LINE.

I'm still learning. Still rebuilding. Still figuring things out.

And that's probably always going to be part of recovery.

Sober Daddy isn't about being perfect.
It's about continuing to show up.

ONE DAY AT A TIME.
ONE DECISION AT A TIME.
ONE BETTER VERSION OF YOURSELF AT A TIME.
ABOUT THE RECOVERY CONTENT

Sober Daddy provides peer-based recovery education and support informed by lived experience. It is not medical treatment, counselling, psychotherapy or emergency care. Alcohol withdrawal can be medically dangerous and in some cases life-threatening. If you are concerned about stopping alcohol or drugs safely, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.
